There are three options to install the Adaptive Parts Environment. Adaptive Parts Environment currently only runs on Windows.

Install Using PackageManager (recommended)

Adaptive Parts Component (APE) is quite easy to install, please follow these steps with us:

  • Run _PackageManager command on your Rhino version.
    1. Rhino7: Type _PackageManager in the command line.
    2. Rhino6: Type _testPackageManager in the command line. The command is hidden and will not autocomplete. The Package Manager on Rhino 6 might take up to one minute until it displays the plug-ins.
  • Type “Adaptive Parts Environment” in the search bar.
  • Press Install.
  • After installation is complete, you will need to restart Rhino

Install Using food4Rhino

If you want to install Adaptive Parts Environment using food4Rhino, this is also possible. (Technically speaking this approach uses the package manager installation as well.)

  • depending on your browser settings, a warning might show up. Click "Open Rhino 7"

  • This will pop-up a PackageManager window. Press Install.

*Please note that in Rhino6, you may face some problems using this method, we would recommend using PackageManager Installation descirbed in the section above.

Install Using the Rhenso Installer (Rhino 7 only)

Adaptive Parts Environment can be installed through an installer. This installer works only on Rhino 7 is available to download through our website, please follow:
